CEFAR Birth is a two-channel TENS stimulator (four electrodes) specially adapted to the labor pains. With a unique capability of presetting two different levels of stimulation and with a hand switch to shift between them, use is significantly simplified. This results in more effective treatment, and the woman can control pain relief herself throughout the delivery.

CEFAR Birth gives many treatment options. Without the hand switch, CEFAR Birth works like any TENS stimulator, with options for both conventional and burst stimulation. The stimulator can also be used during pregnancy for back and pelvic problems, for post delivery pains and at maternity care centers for treatment of menstrual cramps or for procedures such as inserting IUDs.

TENS treatment requires a stimulator that can penetrate the resistance of the skin, about 1500 ohm. CEFAR Birth can handle resistance of 2400 ohm, which guarantees effective treatment.
